HARRISBURG — The state Department of Corrections has filed charges against two inmates who mailed drugs to several prisons—including SCI Coal Township. Devin Walker and Dejah Schoolfield of Philadelphia are charged for allegedly smuggling synthetic drugs into state prisons through legal mail.
Investigators say the pair used falsified attorney credentials to obtain a DOC-issued attorney control number allowing them to send drug-saturated paper to inmates. The investigation began in at SCI-Smithfield, where staff intercepted suspicious mail. Six of seven packages were seized and tested positive for drugs.
