DANVILLE — In Danville, Route 54 will close overnight later this week for lighting system review work. PennDOT says the closure affects Continental Boulevard between Route 11 and West Front Street from 1:30am to 5:30am .
Officials say a consultant will inspect the lighting system and electrical box in the cut and cover. A detour will use Route 11, Mill Street, and West Front Street. NORTHUMBERLAND — In Point Township, Northumberland County, night work resumes next week on Route 405. PennDOT says drainage improvements begin one tenth of a mile north of Sports Zone Drive.
Officials say drivers should expect single-lane conditions with flagging Mondays through Thursdays from 7pm to 6am. New Enterprise Stone and Lime is leading the $2.8 million resurfacing and drainage project.
Work includes milling and resurfacing 3.5 miles between Eighth Street and Ferry Road, plus drainage upgrades and guide rail improvements. The project is expected to be finished in June. Drivers can check conditions at 511PA.com.
VALLEY TOWNSHIP, MONTOUR COUNTY — In Valley Township, Montour County, a tree trimming project starts along Route 54. PennDOT says work runs between Hendrickson Road and west of Ponderosa Lane. The work area is north of I-80.
Officials say crews will trim and remove trees within the right-of-way. Drivers should expect alternating lane restrictions Mondays through Fridays from 7am to 5pm.
