HARRISBURG — In Northumberland, Montour, Snyder, Union and Columbia counties, a regional recovery network is receiving state funding to reduce stigma around substance use disorder.
The Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs says the Drop-In Center Recovery Collective will receive up to $29,000.
Officials say the collective includes Oasis Community Recovery Club of Shamokin, Walking Free Clubhouse near Middleburg, and New Possibilities Recovery Drop-In Center in Bloomsburg. The funding will support outreach, education, and efforts to promote compassionate, judgment-free care.
State officials say the grants are part of the Life Unites Us campaign, which uses community partnerships to encourage treatment and recovery. The program aims to reach young people, parents, veterans, and educators across underserved areas.
