DANVILLE — A dog attack outside a hotel in Valley Township leaves one dog dead and a woman injured morning. State police say the incident happened around 8am at the Red Roof Inn in Montour County.
Investigators say three dogs belonging to Raelee Lowe of Perry County escaped from a hotel room while she was away. Police say two of the dogs attacked a Sunbury woman’s dog, killing it.
Authorities say the woman was also bitten during the attack and suffered injuries. Emergency crews from Geisinger EMS responded to the scene.
State police say the dogs were secured and the Pennsylvania Dog Law Enforcement Bureau was notified. Charges related to dangerous dog violations are pending under state agriculture law.
