DANVILLE — A community workshop next week will explore the realities of poverty and how communities can respond. Organizers say the program “Bridges Out of Poverty” will be held March 22 at the Danville Area Community Center.
The DACC says the free workshop will begin at 1pm. Organizers say the program will be led by Rose Williams of the Getting Ahead Foundation. Officials say the session will examine barriers many families face when trying to move forward.
Organizers say participants will take part in interactive exercises exploring generational and situational poverty. A pizza lunch will be served at 12:30pm before the program. More information is available at www.danvilleacc.com
