CSVT Southern Section Mainline Set To Open 2027
SELINSGROVE — The Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation project now has firm opening timelines for its southern section. PennDOT says the mainline highway is expected to open to traffic in 2027.
The project includes about 6 miles of new four-lane highway connecting Route 15 near Winfield to Routes 11/15 near Selinsgrove. Officials say major bridge work is nearly complete and paving is underway.
PennDOT held an annual briefing Friday and said the Route 61 connector to Sunbury will open later, with that portion scheduled for completion in 2028 as the final phase of the project moves forward.
