LEWISBURG — A milestone in Union County…the 17th Judicial District this week honored its first female president judge. The Standard Journal reports…The court recently unveiled a portrait of President Judge Lori Hackenberg, recognizing her leadership and service.
Judge Hackenberg told the newspaper, the honor reflects not only her career, but her parents’ sacrifices and support. She tells attendees the court must remember many who face difficult, life-changing moments, and deserve fairness and dignity.
Standard Journal reports… Officials say her five sisters, along with family, colleagues, and community members, attended the ceremony. The portrait will hang in the courthouse, marking her historic role as the district’s first female president judge.
