ALLENWOOD — Standard Journal reports a new company in our area, ModCorr, and plans to open a manufacturing facility in Allenwood this summer. The report says they’ll lease more than 250,000 square feet at Great Stream Commons. Officials say the project is expected to create up to 100 jobs as operations expand.
Officials say initial hiring could range from 50 to 100 employees as production ramps up. Standard Journal reports the company manufactures modular correctional infrastructure, and the facility was chosen in part due to its readiness, with operations expected to begin in the third quarter of this year as hiring and preparation continue.
