The Daily Item reports a Millmont woman pleaded no contest to felony theft charges. 56-year-old Pamela Hackenburg was charged with stealing $50,000 from the Mifflinburg American Legion while serving as a volunteer treasurer and bookkeeper for the organization. Hackenburg allegedly took money 42 different times over 11 months between 2023 and 2024, totaling a little more than $50,000. In an unrelated case, Hackenburg is serving a state prison sentence for stealing more than $530,000 from Gregg Township, Centre County, where she served as treasurer.
