The Daily Item is reporting the Line Mountain School District has hired a new superintendent. High School co-principal Dwain Messersmith will succeed David Campbell, who served as superintendent for 19 years. Campbell will retire July 17. Messersmith will become the assistant superintendent on Wednesday and then become superintendent of the Line Mountain School District on July 18. The Daily Item reports his salary will increase to $140,000 through the end of June 2027.
