LEWISTOWN — A person died and several others were hurt after an overnight house fire in Lewistown Borough. Lewistown fire officials say crews responded shortly after midnight to the 200 block of Bratton Avenue and found the first and second floors heavily involved in flames.
Firefighters say several people were trapped inside the home when crews arrived. Officials say one person jumped from a second-floor window and was flown to a trauma center.
City Hook and Ladder Number 14 says additional injuries were reported. State police fire marshals and the Mifflin County coroner responded. Officials say a dog and cat also died in the fire.
