DANVILLE — A Geisinger emergency physician has been named Pennsylvania’s 2026 EMS Physician of the Year. Geisinger says Dr. Chris Berry received the statewide honor from the state Department of Health and Emergency Health Services Council. He was honored for his work supporting EMS crews and emergency care providers.
Dr. Berry serves in Geisinger Medical Center’s emergency department and as associate medical director for Geisinger EMS. Officials say he regularly responds to emergencies alongside EMS crews and helps provide training and mentorship for emergency responders across central Pennsylvania. He was honored Tuesday.
