ELYSBURG — July 4, 2026, has been recognized as Knoebels Amusement Resort Day in Pennsylvania, honoring the park’s 100th anniversary. State Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver welcomed members of the Knoebel family and park leadership to the state senate this week for the recognition.
Knoebels officially opened as an amusement park on July 4, 1926, with the debut of the Crystal Pool. The park began earlier as a swimming hole and picnic grove. Today, Knoebels is known for free admission, family traditions, and classic attractions. Culver says the park is part of the region’s identity and a source of Pennsylvania pride.
