DANVILLE — Mark your calendar…The Montour County Historical Society will host a fundraiser July 11 at the historic Frank DeLong Mansion near Washingtonville. It is called ‘An Afternoon at the Frank DeLong Mansion: Exploring the Life and Legacy of Frank DeLong.’ The event runs from 4 to 6:30pm at 56 Bush Road.
The afternoon includes light hors d’oeuvres, desserts, refreshments and a presentation by historian and author John Marr. His talk will explore Frank Emerson DeLong, his regional legacy and the mansion’s history. Admission is $50, and advance reservations are required.
Proceeds support the society’s museums, collections, educational programs, and preservation work. Reservations may be mailed to the Montour County Historical Society, P.O. Box 8, Danville. Contact Lynn Reichen at 570-898-4123.
