MILTON — The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau says Judy Machesic has been named executive director, effective July 1.
She has been serving as interim director after previously joining the organization in 2019 as member services director. Officials say Machesic helped strengthen partner relationships and has led the organization through recent growth and controversies…a big theft case and the sudden exit of the previous director.
Board Chair Amber Guerrero says Machesic earned the board’s confidence through leadership, organization, and commitment.
The bureau says website traffic has grown more than 300 percent and social media engagement more than 200 percent in the past two years. The bureau promotes tourism, recreation and economic development in Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties.
