HARRISBURG — The regional Transitions of PA organization is speaking out after a state Capitol news conference on funding for victim services.
The event was led by statewide groups seeking more money for domestic violence and rape crisis programs.
Transitions of PA CEO Mae-Ling Kranz says survivors cannot wait as costs rise and demand for services grows. She says funding must keep pace with the realities facing victims and the programs that serve them.
The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence is seeking an $8 million increase. The Pennsylvania Coalition to Advance Respect is seeking a $12.5 million increase for rape crisis services. Transitions serves Union, Snyder, and Northumberland counties.
