SHAMOKIN — Shamokin residents will have two chances this month to connect with the city police department. The department will hold its Shine From the Shield car wash , from 8am to noon at 511 North Franklin Street.
A wash and dry will cost $15, and a wash and wax will cost $25, with cash only accepted. Proceeds will support equipment needs, officer training and the department’s K-9 program.
Police will also host Coffee with the Chief from 9 to 11am at M&T Bank. The free event will give residents a chance to ask questions and discuss community concerns.
