LEWISBURG — Rain did not stop the annual Union County Veterans 4th of July Parade in Lewisburg. The parade followed Friday night’s fireworks and drone show as part of the holiday celebration.
Hundreds of people with umbrellas and rain gear lined the route to thank more than 100 veterans taking part in the parade. Several veterans said the show of support is very much appreciated.
Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity, a retired Army Reserve colonel, also took part in the parade. Treasurer Garrity says veterans are the reason Americans can celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary.
