LEWISBURG — Good news for holiday bikers and walkers. The Buffalo Valley Rail Trail is set to reopen after a spring maintenance project. The Trail Authority says it appreciates the public’s patience while the work was completed. Officials say spring was not the same without the trail, but the project was needed.
They thanked DCNR, Union County, and others who helped make the maintenance possible. Trail users are asked to review the rules and guidelines before returning. The rules are posted at each trailhead and on the Union County Trails website. They are also asking users to help keep the trail clean, safe, and courteous for everyone. The trail is 9.3 miles between Lewisburg and Mifflinburg.
