ALLENTOWN — The PPL Foundation has awarded $75,000 in grants to 10 nonprofit organizations serving our region. PPL says the funding will support food access, housing, workforce development, youth programs, environmental projects and arts and cultural opportunities.
Recipients include Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, Central Susquehanna Opportunities, the Lewisburg Branch of the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA and The Arc Susquehanna Valley. Grants will also benefit organizations serving Clinton, Columbia, Luzerne, Lycoming, Northumberland and Union counties.
The next round of Empowering Communities grant applications opens August 1. Eligible nonprofits within PPL Electric Utilities’ service area can apply through PPL’s community giving program.
