LEWISBURG — A Lewisburg couple allegedly left their 3-year-old child unattended in a vehicle during extreme heat. NorthcentralPA reports… Police say temperatures reached 98 degrees, with a heat index of 110.
Matthew Jantzi and Hannah Lapp allegedly left the child inside for eight to 10 minutes. A witness told police the child was sweating but otherwise appeared unharmed.
Both are charged with felony endangering the welfare of a child and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Lapp also faces a summary charge for leaving a child unattended in a vehicle. Both posted $10,000 unsecured bail.
