HARRISBURG — The state’s jobless rate fell one-tenth of a point to 4.1 percent in June. The figure comes from the preliminary employment situation report for . The state of Labor and Industry says the rate is below the national average.
The numbers show Pennsylvania’s civilian labor force increased by 17,000 to a record 6.6 million. Unemployment fell by 6,000. Pennsylvania also added 1,000 nonfarm jobs, reaching a record 6.2 million. Leisure and hospitality posted the largest monthly gain.
