LIGHTSTREET — A Millville man faces charges after allegedly claiming he still worked as a Columbia County prison guard. The Press Enterprise reports police stopped 34-year-old Derek Fry for a faulty rear light.
Court papers say Fry placed an old prison identification card atop his license during the Scott Township traffic stop. He allegedly told police he had just finished work at the prison.
Officials said Fry was fired from his part-time corrections job in . They requested the return of any prison property still in his possession. Fry is charged with impersonating a public servant and was cited for the lighting violation.
