WILLIAMSPORT — Williamsport welcomed players from around the world as the Grand Slam Parade kicked off Little League festivities. Organizers say all 20 World Series teams joined bands, floats and marching groups along Fourth Street.
Before the parade, players shared food and friendship during an annual picnic at Penn College. The gathering gave competing teams a chance to relax together before tournament play. The Little League World Series begins in South Williamsport at 1pm. More information is available at littleleague.org.
