DANVILLE — A highly decorated locomotive celebrating America’s 250th birthday will roll into Danville during the Fall Festival next month. North Shore Railroad says NSHR 2238 will be featured during passenger excursions . The specially painted locomotive features artwork commemorating the nation’s semiquincentennial.
North Shore Railroad says artist Pedro Reyes hand-painted the locomotive during a two-month project. Train rides are scheduled for 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. as part of the America 250PA Fall Festival. More information is available www.northshorewarehouse.com/danville
