WATSONTOWN — A program addressing food insecurity is growing and growing.
Central Susquehanna Opportunities is expanding access to nutritious food with a new mini mobile food pantry. CSO says the project will be launched through a new partnership with Luzerne County Community College.
The public event begins at 10 a.m. at the LCCC Watsontown Center. Zach Zook of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank will lead a workshop on food access challenges and opportunities.
A ribbon cutting follows at 11 a.m. to celebrate the pantry and the CSO-LCCC partnership. CSO says the new mobile pantry will help bring food directly into communities across the region. The event is free and open to the public. More information is available at csocares.org.
