DELAWARE TOWNSHIP — In the Watsontown area, the Eighth Street Bridge over Interstate 180 is open again following a repair project. PennDOT says the bridge reopened Friday, and the detour has been lifted. Crews will continue line painting and guiderail work next week under single-lane conditions with flaggers.
PennDOT says drivers should use caution through the work zone. The $639,000 project includes replacing a beam damaged last year, adding protective coatings and resurfacing the roadway. PennDOT expects the remaining work to be completed in September.
